Custom Work – The Process
Life requires our surroundings function effectively. Living life well means our surroundings inspire and propel us towards our goals. Surroundings designed to support your personal needs are a powerful unlock to improving quality of life.
Commissioning custom products for your space offers a transformative quality of life improvement. This is the work of Seacoast Fine Woodworking.
Improving your quality of live and giving a voice to your style is a team process where we listen to your requirements or ideas and apply our skills and knowledge to realize those ideas. Here’s how the process works:
1. Contact us. Let us know your requirements, desires, and ideas. We may return with a questionnaire to gather more information. Following this first round of discussion, we’ll provide a rough estimate of the project costs.
2. Design. Building on the initial discussion, we’ll refine the project according to time constraints, materials, feasibility, and budget. This includes wood species, treatments, inlays, finishes, personalization, and so forth. The result is a design brief with an official quote.
3. If the design brief and quote are approved, a 50% deposit secures your order, including a lead-time estimate. We will then source materials and begin construction, providing you progress reports throughout the build process.
4. Work is completed and your product is delivered.
